FAQ
Why Tarot?
I am inclined to view self-reflection as a creative process, and Tarot is my favourite tool for that purpose.
The Tarot is a system of 78 different cards that can be arranged into different spreads in infinitely many different combinations, like you would arrange words in a language. And much like the languages of art, maths, or music, the Tarot can be used to express ideas that cannot be expressed in words.
Can you actually tell the future?
The self-reflection of a Tarot reading will only ever divine the future in the sense that it can change your state of mind, which influences your actions, which can then influence the future to be in line with the one that was foretold. Unfortunately, that means I can’t use the Tarot to predict the weather or the stock market.
Do you actually believe in any of that occult nonsense?
I choose to suspend my disbelief when it serves me.
